I forgot to mention that I actually liked the hotel. It had a small courtyard, but parking was a bit tricky since the space was narrow everywhere. I had to be really careful not to scratch the car.
We needed the car again later when we set out to find a nice beach. After just a five-minute drive, we discovered a pleasant spot lined with tall pine trees. We found a good place to settle down and set up our tent. I bought a beer, we opened a bag of nachos, and we just sat there, enjoying the moment.
For lunch, we grabbed some fast food and also took a walk along the beach. But the heat was overwhelming, and we couldn’t bear it for too long. We turned back and returned to our tent, which was thankfully shaded by the trees.
In the afternoon, we headed back to the hotel. The balcony was wide enough to sit comfortably and enjoy the sunset. Unfortunately, around sunset, a swarm of gnats appeared, so we had to retreat inside. Luckily, there was a football match on TV, which kept us entertained for the evening.
A day doesn’t have to be packed with big adventures to be meaningful. Small pleasures can create moments of peace and joy.
